In light of recent notes and emails I thought I would open up a new journal explaining commissions. I deleted my old one because I was getting plenty of commission work outside of deviantart.
So, welcome!
If you have any questions that weren't covered feel free to comment here or note me.

Commission process:
1. You can contact me either through deviantart (note me) or send me an email at muir.tomas@gmail.com. In the message please include some details about the commission (subject matter, theme, format, maybe even some reference images).
2. I will reply telling you if I can work on it or not (fret not, the answer will almost always be yes), I will ask for more details if I feel I don't have enough info, and then I'll ask for confirmation that you want to go forward with it.
4. I'll send you a simple sketch (or more than one sketch if I have other ideas) showing the composition and basic design of the piece. At this stage you can ask for any changes and I can add them easily.
3. You will pay half of the commission price after accepting the sketch (half after the painting is done).
5. I'll finish up the piece and send you a final image, I can still change some things here if you want, within reason (i.e "please add candles to the walls" but not "Please change the pose of the man to a completely different pose")
6. If you are satisfied, then send the final half of the payment.
Environments and landscapes of any kind, without important characters (only simple silhouettes that are mostly for scale).
A painting with one or more prominent characters. The price you see above is for the level of detail seen in the examples, if you want a higher level of detail we'll have to negotiate a higher price.
These sketches typically take very little time and have low detail, bordering on impressionism. Since my strength is in color and mood, this is a good choice if you're low on money!
This is just an experimental category. I have never been commissioned for a traditional piece and don't know what it's like to send a painting, use at your own risk! I mostly only paint in gouache and watercolor on watercolor paper.

Obviously there are lots of variables and other categories that aren't covered here, but that's what communication is for!

Other details:
- Payment should be through paypal or bank transfer (paypal is preferred for one time commissions for simplicity, for commissioning a bunch of stuff at once I suppose bank transfer is more convenient)
- My currency is euros since I live in Portugal. Prices should be converted to your currency using the current exchange rate.
- Usually I take 1 day to send sketches, and another day or two to finish the painting.
Thanks for reading! I'm always open to feedback regarding prices, journal setup, etc.
1000 Watchers!
Thank you guys for the support :)
A thank you letter to my watchers!
Hey guys! So my watchers count has almost doubled in the past 6 months which has been really cool, considering how long I've been on DA now.
Unfortunately I can't write on everyone's page saying thank you. So I wanted to just give a big thank you to everyone who is watching me!!
It really means a lot to me, seriously!
DeviantArtist Questionnaire
I've only been here for 3 and a half years but I'm very happy that DA is still going strong after 15 years!
For some reason the formatting got messed up, ignore the "1."
How long have you been on DeviantArt?
About 3 and a half years!
What does your username mean?
I think I came up with it when I was 11 or 12 as my first username and have been using it ever since. It's basically a misspelled "parkour" (because I used to like parkour) and a mutated version of my name, Tomas as "tommo".
Describe yourself in three words.
Creative, Wierd, Obsessed
Are you left or right handed?
Right!
What was your first deviation?
In all it's sub HD glory.

The cream of the crop, also the ones in the back of the field because for some reason these people do not get the attention they deserve.
